Dull moments? I dream of them...

Well, my "Me" time today starts a little early (and ends early as well!).
But the truth is I haven't had my "Me" time, so, today, not wanting to get home all tired and cranky for my "Me" time, I decided to start early!!!!
It's very cold but it doesn't rain...yeah! Great week, the weather has been excellent, been very occupied all week... yeah I'll post some photos of the work I've been doing! (sorry, went for another cup of coffee, yeah my "me" time usually involves drinks... any kind of drinks depending on the time of the day, the mood, whatever there is in the fridge or the pantry...) I've started my etsy shop... haven't really posted many articles but when it's a little bit more serious I'll post the link!
The family has been... a bit more quite... although I still have to explain the "food chain" to the youngest members and how it works... (where is their place on that chain!) not a very happy member but... was needing it... badly!
Valentine's day went by... very well... it's the 24th I celebrate with my best-half!!! We had seafood yeah like the quote (my relationship with food is simple I seafood and I eat it) can't remember who but liked it immediatly!
But the fact that DESSERTS is STRESSED read backwards has got me thinking... well not very much because someone asked me how much I spent on food each week... that has still got me thinking... allready got coupon sites, banned anyone from going to the supermarket without telling me exactly what they are going to buy and why!
Never a dull moment... I dream of them these days...

The last few days

Hi there!
Yes, been away from this page for a few days... Don't ask! I'll tell you...
My PC died... yes, it's very sad, but true... was lost for a few minutes, told my son, yeah, the middle-one (whose name is not middle-one!) the "killer" that he was responsible for the "end" of my artistic (read writer's) career and that I hoped he was happy with himself! Felt guilty the moment I heard my own words... apologized... he didn't take it well (actually he did!) and said that I should have an iPhone like his and then I would have no problems...
Meanwhile, my youngest had her birthday... took her to the hairdresser because she wanted her hair straight, was a surprise, she didn't like it because (only God knows why!) she talks about wanting her hair straight but doesn't want to sit still while someone straightens it for her... after this trauma went shopping for THE watch she was begging for, had been sold, went to another store... found it! BUT she found the shoes she just COULDN'T live without... ok we bought the shoes... BUT she needed a blue jacket that she would die of embarassement if she didn't take it to school the next day... took the jacket... The cake had to be an OREO cake... found recipe, baked the cake... wasn't exactly it... but, since there was no other cake... fine, but forbidden to tell people she had a cake "LIKE THAT"! For dinner... it had to be "francesinhas"! Amen alleluia! we got them right! (and to think that the children are ungrateful!!!!!!!!!!!)
So, as you see... my life is a brease... I sometimes wonder what my life would be like if I didn't have this excitements... what would I worry about? What would I do? Think about work, how dull my life is? Think about the bills I have to pay?

Times of Change

Here I am again!
We are living the times of change... Change isn't always a good thing! But we cannot be pessimist all the time, right?
Yesterday my son, the middle-one, told me he was sad because there were going to be changes at his work, people leaving! Today, I too, was told that someone who I appreciate is also moving...leaving! Even in our family there are changes occurring... people are leaving...but that is a VERY GOOD thing!!!!!!!!!!! (Explain  later... too excited to talk about it now and might not be able to give the real/whole story!)
Yesterday, was a really good day! Had friends over for lunch... treated them to an all Portuguese meal... (think they liked it!) Had my little Théo and Eva, they are the most gorgeous children... but then, all children are gorgeous... except my son when he was born, the middle-one (that's not his real name)... but that's another story!!! (not really worried,he doesn't know I have this blog, it's "ME" time!) I have to tell this story... someday!
Finished my book "there are no perfect families" (well, not mine...), liked it, not great but amusing and very real... I could relate to almost all stories there... it's about mothers and fathers dealing with new borns... and parenthood in general... a parent really is someone that has not a selfish bone in his/her body! I know that there are lots of people who don't feel the "call" to be parentts, respect, don't understand very well, it's not for me to understand... but... let's leave it there...
Today is going very well, my "ME" time is here while I'm babysitting my little girl (not really mine, otherwise wouldn't exactly be babysitting), while she eats chocolates and plays cards... she's gorgeous...
oopps! spoke too soon... elle me demande!

Hairdresser

Hi again!
Thursday and friday my "Me" time was spent shopping and going to the hairdresser... hadan't been in about... ages!!! (and the truth is I only went this week because a friend of my son's is taking a course in hairdressing and needed a model!) But, as I was saying, I went to the hairdresser... it felt so good... and it made me feel good... and that is the most important!
No, I'm not a "cheap" person, I always did everything I wanted to do and could do... the truth is, at the moment that is not exactly how it goes... I do what I can when I can with the means I have. And that's the part that sends me crawling up walls and crying and shouting (when no one can see, of course!).
I love all the good things life (and money!) have to offer... Two years ago I could not imagine myself not going to the hairdresser every week or two, doing my nails, my feet... buy all the clothes I was sure I deserved... out to dinner, parties... everything for my kids... holidays, at least once a year in a foreign country... well, now I live in a foreign country, period!
How life changes and how it changes YOU! (I mean ME!)
But I'm not complaining (who am I kidding!!!!). I love my new life (wtf!).
And to prove it (to myself, of course!) tonight I'm going to drink lots of champagne, (the good thing about living in the foreign country!) and eat oysters (the other good thing about living in the afore mentioned foreign country!)
