Food and/or Not

Today... wednesday... I like wednesdays...
For me it's more than the middle of the week... once wednesday is over it's really a click until saturday is here... and it's been a good week so far... in spite of the rain...
My family has grown... yes... we were five and now we are seven...it's good! There is never a dull moment "chez nous"! Of course with all the implications of delegating (or not!), doing (or not!), that a big family implies!
Now that I think of it (changing drastically of subject) the thing that most impressed me when moving to another country was the amount of money I left at the supermarket each week... there's no words to describe it! Well we do like our food... it's part of who we are... what can I do?
Today we are having codfish deep fried with tomatoes, capsicums and fries... that reminds me my "Me" time has justfinished as I have mouths to feed... yeah, lots of them!!!!

Just an ordinary day (or not)

Ok, here I am again... for a little more "Me" time!
Today started a new week... of work, school ... every seven days it happens.
Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to not have mondays... but then we would have tuesdays and I suppose it would be like having mondays that we called tuesdays (???) right... this was today's argument...why,oh why do we have to have mondays!!!
Last week everyone was sick with the flu! Today only 2 are not so good... all the others or presque, left for work or school!
Last night started reading a new book... it's called "There are no perfect families" by Marta Gautier... so far so good,can relate to all the things in the book... theregoes my theory that my family is perfect... well it is to me. And by perfect I mean we all hve an occupation, or almost, we do the things we love (no we don't), we live in a beautiful place (no arguing there!) and we have what it takes to be a perect family... (who am I kidding!).
I haven't told you about my house yet... it's a wonderful two-storey house. It has lots of windows and a little entrance garden... it has shutters and it all needs a good coat of paint (my husband's work during summer vacation, I hope!). It has the biggest fireplace and it is gorgeous... I'm very happy here, of course it isn't exactly how I'd want it to be but... it might get there... eventully!
My "Me" time is up for today.
Tomorrow I'll talk a little bit more about the adventure that is my life... (and what a circus!)

My life

Hi! I'm a wife and a mum living a mid-life crises??!! And this is the way I found to get some "Me" time! I'm 40 years-old, mother of 3 with a full time job... Just moved from my home country to a new country, with all the family and we're still getting used to it (I mean me!). From a different country with a different language to a different work... different people... there are times I think I cannot handle this! My husband is a great help... but even so!
I love this new little island I live in... with a beach just a few steps away...ok,now there's snow but... summer will be here in no time and then... I'll have to work, (a lot!) and don't have time to just relax and go to the beach...
Anyhow, I try to always make the best of the situation, but there are situations that it's really hard to make the best of... even for me!  Leaving a home, a country, family... I'm getting over it... or am I?
But I am very lucky, I have my three wonderful kids... two boys and a girl... all grown up, but still my babies!
Hope today is the turning point and that I can finally start living... and appreciating all I have!
